Hey, penguin fans! Just thought I'd let you know that today I set up a Twitter! You can find me at @IonaCPR .

Since I'm kind of new to Blogger, Twitter is an easier way for me to talk to people, so feel free to say hi!

Have a great day!

Stamp Bonus Bug - Club Penguin Rewritten

Hey, penguin fans!

If you were ever skilled enough in Club Penguin Classic to earn all of the stamps for a game, then you should know that having all the stamps for a game will earn you double coins! This was a great reward for mastering a game, and was also a great way to make coins fast.

However, when I tried doing this in Club Penguin Rewritten, something weird happened.

Normally, the way that you earn coins in single-player games (in my case, Cart Surfer) is the number of points you earn divided by ten. For example, if you earned 5000 points, that would normally give you 500 coins. If you had all the stamps for that game, then the normal amount of coins you would receive would be doubled - your 500 coins would become 1000. However, there seems to be something wrong with the way this works in CPR.

Dividing 2571, my score, by ten would give me 257.1, which in any version of CP would be rounded to the nearest full number, 257. However, the game is telling me that I earned 128.5 coins, which makes no sense - firstly, that would be half of  257, the amount of coins I should earn, and secondly, it's a decimal, not a whole number, which shows something is broken here since normally you should only be able to earn whole numbers of coins.

What's happening here is that your coins are actually halved before being doubled. Luckily your coins aren't halved in other games, so if you don't have all the stamps, you don't need to worry about only earning half coins. Hopefully this bug is fixed soon though, since the stamp bonus is really useful for earning coins quickly.

Thanks for reading! Hopefully if we bring attention to this bug, the CPR staff will be able to fix it quickly.

Have a great day!

HIDDENPUFFLE - Club Penguin Rewritten

Hey, penguin fans!

If you've been to the Pet Shop lately, you might have seen this piece of paper on one of the cabinets. This isn't just part of the background though - if you click on it, you'll actually see this:

If you've ever gone on one of the PSA missions, you'll recognise the characters on the sheet as the Tic Tac Toe Code, the secret code used by agents to communicate without being understood by outsiders.

If you translate this from Tic Tac Toe Code, it reads, 'HIDDENPUFFLE / G". While G is the known signature and codename of Gary the Gadget Guy in the PSA and EPF, what does the HIDDENPUFFLE part mean?

HIDDENPUFFLE is actually an item unlock code that you can enter before logging in. To use it, all you have to do is go to the unlock screen by clicking the "UNLOCK ITEMS ONLINE" button, which will be in one of the upper corners depending on when you see it.

Then, all you have to do is click "I have a code", and type in HIDDENPUFFLE, like this.

Click done, and you'll receive a special item: The Elite Puffle Whistle!

This is a special item since it lets you summon the Elite Puffle, Flare. Flare is a black puffle whose specialty is welding, so he wears a welding mask at all times. He appeared in the Club Penguin DS games, and was only unlockable through codes, so I think it's great that the CPR staff added this code!

Thanks for reading! I might make another post about unlock codes soon, so stay tuned! ☺

Have a great day!

How to become an EPF Member - Club Penguin Rewritten

Hello, penguin fans!

If you're a new player on CPR, you'll probably want to become an EPF member as soon as possible so you can play System Defender, do the old PSA missions, or just because. In Club Penguin Rewritten, there are two ways to do this.

Method 1: EPF Invite

The first way to become an EPF member is to receive an invite via postcard. This is easy if you have friends who also play CPR and are in the EPF already, since you can just ask them to send you a postcard. It's also pretty easy to ask around for somebody to send you an invite. If you're doing this, the best places to try would be around the town or plaza, or other crowded places.

Once you become an EPF member, then the EPF postcard will be the first one to show up in the postcard menu. This makes it easy to send invites to new recruits. However, your name won't show up on the postcard, so if you're like me and enjoy keeping being an agent a secret, you'll be fine. You are a secret agent, after all.

Method 2: Yearbook Method

The 'Yearbook Method' is a lesser known way of getting into the EPF. For this method, you don't need to interact with anybody, which is good if you don't like talking to people, or prefer less crowded servers.
Here's a step-by-step guide (with pictures!) showing you exactly what to do.

Step 1

Go to the bookshelf, on the second floor of the Coffee Shop. You should see the 2009-2010 Yearbook on the very right of the top shelf.

Step 2

Go to the June 2010 page, either through the contents or just by flicking through. It looks like this.

Step 3

You'll see two very important pictures: One of the Everyday Phoning Facility, and one of an agent with a Spy Phone. Click on the first letter of each word in the Everyday Phoning Facility sign, followed by the Spy Phone. The letters in the sign will turn red once you click them.

Once you've done this, a message from the EPF will appear, like this one:

Then all you need to do is click 'GO THERE', take the EPF test, and before you know it, you'll be a member of the EPF.
(If anyone wants a guide to the test, please tell me!)

Thanks for reading! Please tell me if you found this helpful in any way, or at least interesting.

Have a great day!
